odie Kelly Dressage operates out of our own Southern Cross Equestrian Centre in Destin, Florida. Located in the beautiful beach resort town of Destin, FL on Florida's Emerald coast,
Southern Cross Equestrian Centre is situated on 22 acres of the original site of Mattie and Coleman Kelly's turpentine farm inside of Destin's masterpiece on the bay, Kelly Plantation.
Nestled just off of Highway 98 and flanked by the sprawling golf courses and lavish neighborhoods of Kelly Plantation, the
Southern Cross Equestrian Centre is a surprising and delightful remnant of Destin's rustic charm. Part livery stable, part
training facility, the Centre lies at the end of a sandy off-road almost completely hidden from public view.
Jodie's parents built the Southern Cross Equestrian Centre to support their daughter's serious pursuit of horse training
and championship. The Centre features four barns containing 34 stalls, three tack rooms, four tack stalls, two wash stalls, a 20x60
meter dressage ring with Perma-Flex footing and a 250x225 ft jump arena. Daily turnout is available for all horses.
Although Southern Cross Equestrian Centre has always been home, Jodie Kelly Dressage, Inc. is planning a new training facility in Freeport, FL. With a semi-covered, standard-sized
arena intended to be summer friendly to better promote year-round training, this private, upscale facility will house sale horses and offer full-training of horses and riders for the
serious only. The new center will also incorporate the necessary accoutrements to make it a world-class training ground.
Most winters we move our operation to Wellington, FL - The Winter Equestrian Capital. Wellington is home to the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center and the Winter Equestrian
Festival. This is an event that is the largest and longest consecutively running sporting event in the world. Approximately 3,000 equestrian athletes from around the
world compete in national and international competitions for Hunters, Jumpers, and Dressage.
